K.T. Ganapathy on May 4, 2014 This has got to be THE best astronomical reference available on the android platform. Have enjoyed using and learning from it, and it just gets better and better with each update. It was worth every penny I spent and much, much more. Christian Norman on Apr 24, 2014 As a relative newcomer to astronomy this app gave me everything I need. The tonight's best feature is fantastic and is great for helping to decide what to look at. I would recommend to anyone Torc Torrance on Apr 24, 2014 As an ex-President of Aberdeen Astronomical Society, I like to easily share the wonders easily found in this app. Its really useful indoors and out. A Google User on Apr 21, 2014 As an amateur astronomer I cannot recommend this application enough. The developer is very responsive if you email him directly with any problems you might have. You cannot ask for more. If you have one astronomical app make it this one. If you also have a Nexus 7 like me it is awesome on the larger screen and it works perfectly on Jelly Bean and now that I have a Galaxy Note 3 with Kit - Kat it seems even better. A brilliant app. Tjay Schwarz on Apr 16, 2014 This is really a great app! A professional program that offers a lot of information! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Gary - July 27, 2012 - Fantastic ! This is by far the best astronomy app for android. It just gets better with every update. It is packed with very usefull information. I use this program at the telescope as a wonderful little viewing companion. This is by far the most usefull astronomy app that I have downloaded....I am an avivid astronomer and I would recommend this app for any level of interest in the universe around use. Well done! Worth every cent. Anonymous - July 25, 2012 - Great application I have been using this application for about three months now. It has exceeded my expectations for what I was looking for. It has been very accurate for me as I gaze at the night sky. I'm also happy to see Pluto on the observation menu now as well as a couple layout changes. For the price you can't wrong with this application. I did a little research and tricked a co-worker into buying another app I was looking at & it was a good thing I did, because I didn't like it however he likes it so it is a win win. Richard - May 30, 2012 - Brilliant! Honestly think this is the best value for money astronomical app there is. It's not for beginners, but if you know your stuff and are looking for an all-in-one at-a-glance session planner, planetarium AND future event planner, this is for you. It looks great on my Galaxy Tab too :-) John - June 5, 2012 - Awesome App. A wealth of astronomcal data and information. The ease of accessing and using the data is first rate. Well done. Jon - May 26, 2012 - Excellent. A beautiful app that can be used by anyone interested in astronomy. Every update has resulted in continuous improvement. Excellent program. Chris - May 19, 2012 - Best astro app just got better! Great for planning what to see with thumbnails of objects and above/below horizon indicator, coordinates, magnitudes, etc. Love the top down view of the solar system too. Well worth it. No problems on HTC One X. Jim - April 19, 2012 - Out of this world! The developer did an absolutely fantastic job creating this application. Don't hesitate to buy it. Perry - December 22, 2011 - Best for data & events. Compared to other planetarium apps this is the best for listing what's happening in the sky at any given time. Export to calendar is nice. The display can seem crowded at times, use other apps for less info therefore less clutter. Recommended for planning your observing sessions. Gregg - December 19, 2011 - Fantastic. I have probably used most of the stargazing apps on here, but IMHO this is by far the best. The sheer amount of info on here makes it worth the cost. Steve - November 21, 2011 - Finally a Sky Safari alternative! Big database, lots of info, slick UI. HTC EVO. zenpi314 - October 13, 2011 - This is my first review. The App is so good that I had to write it. I work at an observatory and have public viewing several times per week. This app gives me everything I want to know. I also write a weekly what's Up in the sky and for that it is perfect as well. Stuff like greatest elongation or opposition, which I had to look up on-line before, is now at my fingertips. When people ask which of the moons is transiting Jupiter, I can tell them instantly. Awesome information. Thanks |
